The dilemma

Radiators fail to keep up with low-temperature heat sources.

At 35 to 55 degrees, ordinary radiators give off too little heat. So after the switch, a home gets colder instead of cheaper.

Underfloor heating can solve this, but it takes a costly, disruptive renovation. Rator tackles the problem where the heat enters the room.

The route

Your boiler now, a heat pump later. In any order.

Rator works on your boiler today and on a heat pump or district heating tomorrow. You choose what you do first.

The unit first: you save from day one.
The heat source first: the units follow without extra work.

Nothing has to be opened up, and nothing has to wait.

This is Rator

A radiator that brings the heat actively into the room.

You choose the temperature. Rator works out how to reach it as efficiently or as quickly as you want, by steering water and air together.

It replaces your existing radiator, on the pipes that are already there.

Valve and fans work together, room by room, at the lowest temperature possible.

He works from 35 to 55 degrees. So on your boiler now, and on a heat pump later.

The solution

Where does the saving come from?

From three places at once. Which one weighs heaviest depends on your heat source.

01

You only heat the room you use

Rator controls room by room. Keeping an empty bedroom warm is no longer needed.

02

Your boiler condenses better

At a low return temperature your boiler gets more heat out of the same gas. That is where up to more than 20% less gas comes from.

03

Your heat pump works more efficiently

A heat pump that only has to deliver 45 degrees instead of 55 uses a lot less electricity. In our calculation home the SCOP goes from 2.8 to 3.5.

Why Rator

What makes Rator different.

A size smaller, and no underfloor heating

Rator keeps the return temperature low, so your heat pump runs more efficiently and can be a size smaller. The pipes you have stay where they are.

Hydronic balancing that does not age

Each unit measures supply and return and finds its own setting. No one-off balancing that no longer fits after a few years.

The units coordinate with each other

Each room is heated separately, but together the units keep the installation in balance. So the temperature can go down further.

Controlled locally, no cloud, no subscription

All control sits in the units themselves. No internet needed, no subscription, and nobody who can switch your installation off remotely.

Nothing to look after

You set the temperature, Rator does the rest, no app or account. The fans never run harder than needed, and you set a maximum sound level per room.

In summer the same unit cools

If your heat pump can cool, Rator removes the heat. We cool dry: no condensation, so no extra drain in your home.
