Set it once, override it whenever

The schedule handles the week. Turn it up when you want, choose how long, and it returns to the plan by itself.

One press for the day you're having

Warm up fast, save a little, or keep it whisper quiet. You pick the situation, Rator sorts out the rest.

Whisper quiet

You hardly hear it.

The fans ease up and down. They never kick on hard. Under 30 decibels Rator stays quieter than your fridge.

FUTURE UPGRADES

Two comfort modules in one appliance.

Upgrade Rator 1 with an additional heating or cooling module. Available in 2027.

Heating module

A fast warm-up boost, and back-up for heat-pump capacity.

  • Brings one cold spot — bathroom, attic or extension — up to temperature fast, without oversizing the whole installation
  • 1–1.5 kW element with smooth control
  • Switches off automatically
  • Balances the electrical load
  • Heats electrically when power is cheaper than gas

Cooling module

Cooling for homes that overheat after insulation.

  • Cools more efficiently than passive systems
  • Cools deeper without condensation
  • Enables optimal regeneration of the source
  • Current status: the efficiency is being measured.
Rator Bridge & cloud

Control without a Wifi connection.

The Rator Bridge controls the heat source via OpenTherm, local-first and wifi-free. Remote reading and control run over Rator's own LTE connection.

Cross-section of a home: a Rator in every room, connected via a mesh network to the Rator Bridge and the heat pump or gas boiler
  • Units communicate with each other and the heat source for more efficiency
  • Resident controls via the optional app
  • Extra savings via the optional app (e.g. schedules and absence)
  • Steering on dynamic energy prices (from summer 2027)
  • Better performance through learning
  • Remote support and OTA updates
