For housing corporations

Make homes greener without major renovation.

Rator brings lower supply temperatures comfortably within reach: fast installation, intelligent control and automatic hydronic balancing.

The dilemma

Greener homes without losing on comfort, cost or capacity.

Many tenants have high energy costs. Ordinary radiators give off too little heat at low temperatures, but switching to underfloor heating brings high costs, long lead times and a lot of disruption for residents.

If the radiators cannot keep up, the heat source stays behind too. Corporations must then choose between slowing down, renovating at high cost, or risking comfort complaints.

The solution for housing corporations

Heat-pump ready today, off gas tomorrow.

Rator replaces the existing radiator and works on the heating pipes that are already there. So you make the home ready for lower temperatures now, without waiting for a complete replacement of the heat source.

Residents do not have to learn anything new: the temperature is set on the unit, room by room.

Fits your maintenance plan (MJOP). Include Rator in your long-term maintenance plan, sustainability goals and framework contracts. Your own installer mounts the unit.

Value for the portfolio

Faster to install. Smarter to balance. More comfortable to live in.

Lower project impact

No opened-up floors or replaced pipework. One short visit.

Dynamic hydronic balancing

Each unit finds and holds its own setting. No one-off balancing report that ages, and no return visit for a cold back room.

Happy residents

Comfort per room, controls on the unit and quiet fans. Your resident has to do nothing and hears nothing of it.

Frequently asked questions

The main objections, answered clearly.

Won't this be more expensive than a regular radiator?

Rator gives off as much heat as underfloor heating, but avoids the cost and disruption of installing underfloor heating or a complete renovation. This saves huge cost and disruption for tenants, and results in a high return of investment.

Can residents hear the fans?

Hardly. The fans never spin faster than needed, stay under 30 dB and ease up and down instead of kicking on hard.

Does this create extra maintenance or vendor lock-in?

No. Rator uses standard, replaceable parts. Installation is reversible and no app is needed to manage the unit in a rental home.

Does Rator fit every existing system?

Rator connects easily to the existing heating pipes and already saves at 35 to 55 °C supply. On your boiler now, and on your heat pump later.

Will residents accept the new controls?

Residents do not have to learn anything new. The temperature is set on the unit, room by room. There is an app, but it is optional.

Installing and using Rator without tenants ever using the app is perfectly possible. If you do want to offer tenants the app, it brings extra benefits and savings for the resident: schedules can be set, and support and updates can be offered remotely.

Can heating and cooling be extended later?

Yes. Each unit can later be extended with an add-on heating module, or a cooling module that also heats.

The cooling module has no condensation, and because it is integrated there is no second appliance on the wall.

You can apply the modules only in the rooms that need them most. They can also be offered to residents separately, during or after installation. Residents can raise their own comfort without the corporation having to invest.

Discover together

Shall we set up a pilot together?

The process

1

Exploration: We discuss the ambition, housing type, heat source, numbers and planning. Together we choose one complex (5–20 homes). Baseline measurement beforehand.

2

Proposal & installation: Rator translates the situation into fitting models. Your own installer mounts them together with us, in under an hour per Rator. The resident stays home.

3

Measure, learn & scale up: Together we learn about consumption, comfort and improvements. This determines how we can scale up.
